Resume Boot Camp

Time to Polish & Hone your Resume with Expert, Personal Feedback

With your existing resume in-hand, during Resume Boot Camp, from wherever you are in the world, together we will polish your resume and ensure that it is representing you as well as it should. Resume Boot Camp is a focused period of time for people who are relatively confident that they have a strong document, but want to hone it further and ensure that it is ready for the market.

During Boot Camp, I put my Resume hat on, get my coach’s whistle out, and reserve a portion of my time to review and critique your resume. Here’s what you get when you sign-up:

  • Reality Check and Critique from me personally. Once you upload your resume and tell me what your target jobs are, I will respond with a honest critique of what is strong and what is weak and how you can improve it.
  • It is your turn then to take that feedback and work with it. And to make it more interesting and ensure that we have some Accountability, I put a time limit on it. Boot Camp runs for 6 days. You can sign-up at any time during Boot Camp but you need to send me your revised document by Day 6.
  • Then, I will look at it again and report back to you on any further changes that I think need to be made or considered.
  • Once you make final alterations, you can move forward with submitting your resume to potential opportunities with confidence.
  • Additionally, I open a Campfire Chat room exclusively for Boot Camp participants. This is a place where you can float questions and engage in dialogue with other customers.

Considerations:

  • This is Boot Camp. So, you do the heavy lifting. My job is to shine my expert, experienced eyes as an unbiased 3rd party on your resume and tell you what I think. Your job is to do the writing and improvements.
  • I will of course make some comments about grammar, but my focus is on strategy, format, style, content and impact.
  • You should have a document that is ready for critique. That is, you have written and updated your resume to a point where you can’t take it any further. The best use of my time and your money is presenting your best possible resume document for critique.
  • I offer a regular resume critiquing service for $100. If Boot Camp dates don’t work with your deadlines, you are welcome to sign-up for a critique at any time.
  • Boot Camp transpires over a weekend, not so much because I want to work on Sat and Sun, but rather to give you that extra time to work on your document.
  • While I would be happy to have you as a resume writing client, Resume Boot Camp is a focused service with a specific deliverable. To help you get your resume in shape. Quickly and cost-effectively.
  • Lastly, I will respond in the order that submissions are received.

Fees: $50 USD (That’s half-off the normal Resume Critique fee.)
