The Circle of Life
Saddened this weekend by the passing of a dear friend's father. I am 38 now, and over the last 18 months, 3 good friends have lost 4 parents.
It makes me think about the passing of the torch. The reality of life.
It also reminds me that there is no time to waste. If you know what is important to you, then make those things priorities in your life. Be true to your values. Take action to see them through.
It all boils down to the basics, doesn't it.
On a personal note...I live in Vancouver and love it. However, if I could change one thing, it would be a little bit more snow and frozen ponds so I could go skating outdoors. For those readers who aren't familiar with Vancouver, it hardly ever snows here - less here than pretty much anywhere else in Canada. It does snow in the mountains surrounding us and I can be in the snow after a 30 minute drive. Just South of us in Seattle, it snows a lot more. Go figure.
